I have combination skin and I’m still fighting acne, thanks to a blending of sweat, oil, hormones and diet. Not as severe but I’ll get one or two here and there. Searching the internets I found a face mask recipe that involved using matcha tea. Matcha tea is basically a high quality powder version of green tea. High in antioxidants and a great detoxifier it can be used on the face to eliminate chemicals and toxins that cause impurities, fine lines, oily, clogged pores and acne. I added a few other antibacterial, antioxidating and pH balancing ingredients to the matcha powder to form an acne/combo skin face mask :)

• You’ll need:
- 1 tsp matcha tea
- 1 tsp lemon juice (great acne fighter)
- 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar (pH leveler)
- 1 tsp brewed peppermint tea (balances hormones, great for acne elimination)
- sprinkle of turmeric (antioxidant)

• Mix all ingredients together creating a nice smooth, thick consistency.

Using clean finger tips apply generously and evenly on your face. Especially your t-zones and chin areas. I covered my eyebrows since sweat tends to drip down in that area and I get a little bit of acne clusters there. I know, I’m gross. Chillax for a good 20-30 minutes. You’ll feel the mask harden and your skin tighten. Rinse with warm water. Voila! Repeat 2x a week.

NOTE: Be sure to wash your face before applying this mask.
